There are many ways you can help SCF

Volunteer:   Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization. Without them SCF would not exist. They are people like you, who love animals and want to make a difference. No matter your age, experience, or available free time, if you have a passion for animals and want to make a difference, SCF has somewhere you may help. Foster: We are notified daily of dogs needing rescue. Our first thought is always, "where will we put him or her?” Without foster homes we cannot rescue. Please read our foster page or email us at info@secondchancefriends.org for more information on how you can help SCF by becoming a foster home.

Donate:  As a newer Rescue and Non-profit organization, we need your help to build our bank account, which is very limited. Although our vets discount the cost of their services for our rescues, vetting is still very expensive. Many of the dogs we rescue have existing medical issues, are not up to date on vaccinations, and often need to be spayed or neutered. 

One of our sources of revenue are our adoption fees, which cover about 45% of our costs. But we need donations from people like you. Less than 5% of our budget is spent on administrative costs (such as this website, postage, etc). We have no paid employees and receive no government funding.

SCF Amazon Wish List: The dogs we rescue are treated great.  They receive the best medical care and live in wonderful home, but unless their foster families buy them frills, SCF can not afford to.  Many foster families do provide crates, toys, etc., but some can not.  If you would like to purchase a toy or treat for a SCF foster please use this link to see our wish list.   Amazon Wish List Link
